Getting there
FLYING
Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is the most convenient option and our recommended choice for travel. Located just minutes from downtown, PSP offers direct flights from many major cities and makes arriving and departing a breeze. Ontario (ONT) (approximately 1.5 hours away) and Los Angeles (LAX) (3+ hours away) are available as backup options—but PSP gets you into vacation mode much faster.
And if you do opt for a road trip, just know it’s likely to be more traffic than desert.
GETTING AROUND
Getting around Palm Springs is simple. Uber and Lyft widely available, and most places are close by. Many hotels also offer complimentary bicycles for guests to explore the charm of the city at their own pace. You won’t need a rental car for the weekend unless you’re planning to venture father into the desert.
Where to stay
Palm Springs has no shortage of amazing places to stay. Whether you’re looking for a boutique hotel, a full-service resort, or even an Airbnb or VRBO, there’s something for every style and budget. We recommend staying in Palm Springs itself rather than surrounding areas like Palm Desert or Rancho Mirage, so you’re close to downtown, restaurants, and all the wedding festivities.
